Registration for Summer 2014 will begin February 15, 2014
In 2012, the Gifford Family Theatre’s wildly popular Summer Youth Theatre transformed into the Le Moyne College Summer Arts Institute! This new conservatory program expanded on GFT’s theatre camp to offer additional opportunities for youth to delve into the areas of film and music (strings), all on Le Moyne’s beautiful campus. Last year, we added to our programs, offering camps in musical theatre and visual arts. Youth may choose to attend one or multiple camps!
NEW IN 2014 young musicians entering grades 1-3 are welcome to apply for a newly created beginning violin class! This new half-day addition to stings camp will include an instructional class, music reading games, and listening to student recitals. 9 a.m.-noon
In recognition that some youth/parents may have schedules that require a longer camp day, the Le Moyne College Summer Arts Institute will be offering an Extended Day Option. This option will be offered for each of the camps and will allow youth the opportunity to remain, supervised, on campus until 5:30 p.m. During this time, students will be supervised by Le Moyne College interns who are on staff with the camps, but it will not be a formal extension of the learning period. (The fee for this option will be $50 per camp week.)
