November is here gobble gobble! A time for thanks and thanksgiving for all the wonderful people that share in our lives. This month at Roberts we give back to the staff with We Think You're "Soup"er, an event that truly shows our appreciation for all the faculty at Roberts that does so much for us! So just a reminder that the 5th is the day that we bring soup to school and thanks to Susan Carey for organizing! This month we have half-days with Parent Teacher Conferences on the 5th and the 14th so mark those days on your calendar for a 11:30am dismissal. Please note we are looking for volunteers for Holiday Shoppes in December. Please contact us at [email protected] or throught the sites contact form. Veteran's Day is observed on the 11th. Veterans Day gives honor and thanks to all military personnel who served the United States in all wars, particularly living veterans. History notable: Armistice between Germany and the Allied Nations came into effect on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918. President Wilson declared that the day should be "filled with solemn pride in the heroism of those who died in the country's service and with gratitude for the victory". On November 11, 1919, Armistice Day was commemorated for the first time. A prideful thank you to all of our Veteran's!
